Ron helps Carwin train for Lesnar
Shane Carwin, who won the Interim Heavyweight Championship by defeating Frank Mir at UFC 111, will face current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. The two were originally set to face each other at UFC 106, then UFC 108, before Carwin won the interim heavyweight championship, but Lesnar pulled out of the fight both times due to an illness that kept him from training.
Helping Carwin with the biggest fight of his career is Ron Waterman who is working a tough room to help Shane train at Grudge Training Center for UFC 116 on July 3, 2010 where his upcoming fight against Brock Lesnar is being billed as the biggest heavy weight battle in history.
Carwin's camp also includes such heavy hitters as Rashad Evans, Nate Marquart, Elliot Marshall and VanAnsdale.
UFC President Dana White confirmed that the winner of the heavyweight title fight will defend the title against the undefeated Cain Velasquez.
